Algiers water networks under close surveillance

Since 2006, SUEZ has joined forces with SEAAL (Algiers water and sewerage services supplier) to offer Algiers, a city that until now had only enjoyed intermittent water distribution, access to drinking water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A true challenge in this particularly arid region, with critical water resources and fast-growing urbanisation. It was in this challenging scenario that in 2016 SEAAL decided to purchase AQUADVANCED® Water networks, a real-time software solution dedicated to water network performance management and the preservation of water resources. How did CAT save €1 million on its energy expenditure ?

In 2015, the water company Consorci d'Aigües de Tarragona (CAT) chose AQUADVANCED® Energy to optimize their drinking water distribution. Water is drawn from the Ebro River and once treated at the plant in L’Ampolla, supplies 63 municipalities daily, including Tarragona and Reus, 26 companies such as Dow and Repsol, representing 800,000 people and up to 1.5 million during the summer. Since the implementation of the system, more than 1 million euros of savings have been recorded, representing 7% of the CAT's annual energy expenditure.

Prevent the floods in Dijon

When we talk about Dijon and SUEZ, we often think of the Smart City project. The collaboration of SUEZ Smart Solutions and Dijon goes back to the flood the city suffered in 2013. The flood of the river Ouche affected dozens of homes in Dijon and several surrounding villages, resulting in the evacuation of part of their inhabitants. This was the result of exceptional rainfall that caused the river and water tables to overflow in a matter of hours. A situation that pushed the community to equip itself with a tool to forecast the floods of the Ouche in Dijon. Developed by SUEZ Smart Solutions, Avicrue, the customised solution of AQUADVANCED® Urban Drainage was deployed. Zoom.

Flanders’ leading water operator water-link adopts AQUADVANCED® Water Networks

water-link – Flanders’ leading water operator - produces approximately 140 million m3 of water per year, of which 47 million m3 are delivered to other water operators and 93 million m3 are supplied to provide drinking water to 620 000 inhabitants in the Antwerp region, as well as the industries in the port of Antwerp. Facing water loss issues in a highly complex network with a lot of interconnections, water-link decided to implement a monitoring solution to drastically improve the hydraulic performance of its water distribution network. After a competitive bidding process, water-link awarded SUEZ Smart Solutions, a 5 year-contract to roll out and maintain AQUADVANCED® Water Networks software for its water distribution network.
